The calm before the great final

15 February 2017: After the great races with the great victories a day of rest is announced. This must be used, so that all of those involved in the grand finale with the Giant Slalom and Slalom, the ski racers, the coaches, the visitors as well as the voluntaries can re-charge their energy for a sensational finish.

A fantastic panorama and enjoyable silence on Corviglia right before sunrise.

Recommendations of the day:

Perfect slopes: Wonderful runs and the best groomed slopes on Corvatsch/Furtschellas, Corviglia/Marguns, Diavolezza and Lagalp invite you, to make short turns or large sweeping carving turns on their wonderful February snow. Just like Aerni-turns or the Feuz jumps looked like as we have experienced them in the last few days. But be careful, don’t overestimate your own abilities and overface yourself.

Winter hiking trails: The Engadine side-valleys such as Val Fex, the Val Roseg, the Val Morteratsch as well as Val Bever invite you to enjoy unique winter-hiking. Whoever wishes to let their soul relax properly, will choose to take at least one trip in the horse-driven carriages.

The ice-trail Madulain: The ice-trail Madulain runs through the heavenly woodland trails on a pathway of ice. The light plays on the water of the rivers and brooks, views of the historic village centers and the stillness in the valley accompany you through around 1km of pathway.

Frozen lakes: At the beginning of the year they were all black ice - now they are covered by the most beautiful winter clothing. A hike over one
