Vertical Sommerlauf Free Fall

Sat, 15.08.2020 |

The Engadine summer run goes steeply - almost vertically.

The Vertical Summer Run leads over the original World Championship race track of the men´s downhill (including the free fall) and offers participants a special experience.

The free fall is the steepest start of all men´s downhill ski runs (45 degree inclination). In winter, the skiers plunge practically vertically into the depths. In the Vertical Summer Run, the course from St. Moritz Dorf to the start of the men´s downhill run is 5.5 kilometres and around 1000 metres in altitude. As a treat, the "free fall" platform marks the end of the course and rewards the participants with a magnificent view over the Engadine mountain and lake landscape, which makes you forget all the effort. The finishers are rightly proud to have skied the men´s downhill slope vertically under their own steam.
